Prime Minister Gordon Brown is promoting the idea of universal access to high speed broadband internet across the UK. He compares the technology divide created by current internet service, or lack thereof, with access to electricity a century ago. In an attempt to become the world’s digital leader, the UK’s politicians are hotly debating the issue.
